Residents were asked to complete a questionnaire to capture their views and ideas on how they would like Woodmancote Parish Council to spend £25,702.98, that had been received under the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL).

Closing date for questionnaire responses to be received was Friday 12 April 2024.

Where Does CIL Money Come From?

The developers of new properties, such as on the former Poplar Farm, have been required to contribute towards new infrastructure in the borough. Some of this money, 15%, is then passed to the relevant parish. Of note, in future we will receive 25% as we now have a NDP in place!

How Can CIL Money Be Spent?

We may only spend this money on our infrastructure. Infrastructure is broken down into 3 categories: Physical, Social and Green infrastructure. We may not spend it on projects that should be funded by other authorities e.g. we cannot repair roads and pavements as these are a Highways responsibility.

Completing the Questionnaire?

We will not have enough money to do everything, therefore we are asking you to select the FOUR most important areas, in no priority order, you believe we need to focus on and share your reasons why.

Please consult everyone in your home before completing the questionnaire as we are keen to capture the views of all ages and abilities.

A paper copy of the questionnaire will be available as an alternative to the online version. This paper copy will be delivered to all households in the parish as a centre fold in the Spring edition of the Woodmancote News together with details on how to return completed questionnaires.

Results and Latest Information?

Once collated the results and latest CIL information will be made available here on the WPC website and on our social media WPC Facebook Group (link).

Thank you.
